getting there we drove from vegas to LA, what a drive. well pete done the driving, think it was about 200 miles (think) i know it took a long time. we had made no plans whatsoever for LA, we were just heading there. we didn't realsise how big the place was, plus we had no map!

first place we got to was Longbeach, i said to pete i recognised the name. then i remebered it is in Dr. Dre's song ... Longbeach, Inglewood! and yeah it did feel like we were in the middle of Dr Dre's music videos! pretty cool place actually, just felt out of place, plus the one guesthouse we found that wasn't full wanted $200 for a night!

HollyWood we eventually found our way to hollywood, so we got out. I said to pete "this cant be hollywood" it was a bit dirty, lots of litter and some of the stars of the walk of fame were broken and had chewing gum over them. I had imagined the place to be amazing and clean, sorry to paint a bad picture i was just a bit disspointed! The place is still definatly worth a visit thou, it was great walking over the stars, and checking out the weird characters outside the kodak theatre! although the spongebob there (who looked nothing like him) told me my shorts were up my Crabby Pattie!! that really did not make my day!

Star house tour we took the tour of the stars houses. Our driver was a nutcase, just stopping in the middle of the road when he felt like it, and nearly driving over the edges of cliffs! Wow what a tour, we got to see how the other half live we went to Beverly Hills and Belair. we saw Elton John, Julia Roberts, Jim Carey, Robin Williams, The Hiltons, Britany Spears, Leonardo Dicaprios, Jennifer Lopez and loads more houses!

The Airport we dropped our hire car off, and got on the courtesy shuttle to the airport. I had said to pete something didn't feel right. It was pete who said our flight was at 5, so i just listened to him. But i had this feeling he wasn't right so i got out the paperwork to double check the time, when i looked it was the WRONG day! we were at the airport a day early! i had to tel the bus driver that i had left something in the car, so we didn't look like idiots. when we got back to the rent a car place they told us, it had been taken in and if we wanted it back we would have to find it ourselves! (we didn't even know the reg) we finally found the car in the massive car park and had to find somewhere to stay that night. It was a mission and a half, as it was a saturday night and everything was expensive. We ended up staying in this place called Captain Sams (or something) it was a roadside motel, and was digusting and cost 50 pounds!!!

next morning we went for breakfast, which was help yourself toast and cereal. we were half way through ours when this super skinny oldish looking women walked in, in high heals scarf over her head and dark glasses. she was on her mobile when she came in, and went and got some toast and coffee, and about a hundred jams and sugars. she went to her table and put the phone down and started shoving everything in her handbag?? then put her phone to her ear and started talking (i'm guessing to no one) and went back up for more stuff. Coffee, sugars, jam and slices of toast. even thou she had a massive pile left on her table! she was well didged out!! felt sorry for her (dunno what drugs she was on??)
