Zvi Josef's Travels
Wow, what a day! :)
We started of rather late (as usual) and took a taxi for the rest of the day - the ONLY way to go here... .
The first place we visited was the tomb of Khai Dinh, which was the last Vietnamese emperor (or something like that...). Anyway, the tomb looks as if it was taken from a scene of "Lord Of The Rings" with lifesize cement soldiers on both sides of the tomb, guarding it like mad. It was really wonderful. HOT, but we enjoyed it a lot.
We then continued to the Tu Hieu pagoda, which is a tranquil place in the woods with a wonderful lotus pond and ancient graves. Lovely!
We then went on to visit the beautiful tomb of Tu Duc, which is considered as one of the most elegant tombs in Vietnam. It was really lovely, too. Again, HOT, but lovely. :)
Last but not least, the driver took us to the Citadel and the Imperial City, and we roamed the place a bit, but felt it would be more of the same, and decided not to enter it.
Upon coming back to the hotel, we booked a private 1-hour river boat tour, which took us to see the Thien Mu pagoda, which was really lovely, plus being on the river felt a bit breezy, at last. :)
We then returned to the hotel and headed for the pool for a late afternoon meal (pizza and salad) and a good swim.
After that, I took a hot shower in the room, which accidentally started the fire alarm in the room. In 1 minute 4 guys were breaking into the room trying to extinguish the "fire". It was hilarious. :)
Now we're just lounging around and resting, thinking about dinner... .
Tomorrow it's bye-bye to Vietnam as we are headed to Singapore via Ho Chi Minh City. :)
Later! :)))
