We spent almost 8 hours exploring the amazing Taroko National Park, using a local guide. We were taken there by taxi and did several trails, watching the amazing gorge and river. It was a major highlight of the visit to Taiwan, for sure. Tomorrow, we're off to our final city - Taipei.

Today we mostly travelled around as no trains were available. We took a taxi, the high speed train, then another taxi, a plane and a final taxi. We reached Hualien, checked into a meh hotel and rested. In the evening, we went out for some nightmarketing and pizza. Tomorrow ought to be a great outdoors day at Taroko gorge.
