Well, it seems my luck keeps getting better and better - I've caught a nasty throat infection about 2 weeks ago, and I was certain it was through already, but alas. It never went away and the day before yesterday was rather bad... . Anyway, I hope during the weekend I'd feel much much better (a lot of tea and lemon), so that next week can be all about fun in Malta. :)

Now, all I need to do is complete the hotel's reservation. WOW, this is all happenning so fast and in less than 3 weeks we're off to our short Malta vacation. :)

Following several weeks of arrangements and contacts with the hotel in Malta and with numerous touristic sites there, we booked our flight tickets to Malta. Thankfully, we managed to book direct flights, although it's a charter flight, so we're hoping all will be well with its date and time. Tomorrow - we're making the hotel reservation. Thus starts another adventure. :)

We woke up early today - at 6:15, had a nice breakfast, put on our suites and headed for the airport by taxi at 7:30. We got to the airport at 8:00, 2 hours before our boarding. Check in was easy and did not take long. The Budapest duty free was nice and comfortable and the flight home was short and eventless. Thus ends our Budapest adventure, which started with two sick (literally) guys, but ended up being a pleasurable experience. :) C'ya!

We started off the morning with a long walk along the Danube and reached Margaret's island, which is a beautiful island in the middle of the Danube. On the way, we passed by the Parliament building and noticed a memorial for the Jews who were slaughtered on the Danube bank - in a form of dozens of pairs of metal shoes, atached to the ground near the Danube bank. Chilling and sad. We walked the island for about an hour an a half, enjoying its forests, lack of cars...
