Left Christchurch this morning. The clock went back to winter time tonight so we sort of overslept... . Took a bus to the airport to pick up our gorgeous brand new Toyota Rav 4. we then drove to Banks peninsula, Geraldine, had a late lunch, bought some groceries and headed to lake Tekapo. Upon arriving to our motel, we went out to see a dark church, buy more groceries and cook some pasta for dinner. Tomorrow we are off to Mt. Cook.

Woke up after a great night sleep to a lovely breakfast. We then visited the ruined art center, a local market, the main town museum, the botanical gardens, then took a bus to the Gondola cable car, which was awesome. We then took ?the bus back to town and strolled in a new mall, that is made of huge ship containers. Back in the hotel, some packing, some food and off we go tomorrow. Let the explorations begin! :)

After a great business class flight we landed in Auckland, waited for a while and continued to our first destination in New Zealand - Christchurch. The city is still in ruins and looks mostly deserted, other than the cathedral square. We went for a walk in town and had a nice dinner at the hotel. The exploration begins tomorrow.
