5 July - Germany - Frankfurt

After a good sleep we enjoyed the breakfast here & decided to purchase a 2 day travel pass so we could roam at our leisure. The trams are very clean & efficient so we basically went east,west & south till the end of the lines & then trundled back, stopping off at the river for a riverside walk, a sandwich by another part of the river & visit to a gorgeous food market before refreshing ourselves with the local ciders.
A really good & relaxing day - rounded off with a stroll through the Old Town which is currently being set up for the 2013 Frankfurt ironman which starts on 7 July. There is a real buzz around, heaps of participants & bikes in the streets with all the associated stalls & gear for sale.

Last night we tried a trip advisor recommended Resturant with great success. Genuine German food. Tonight we tried another, Persian this time, & sadly although the entrees promised much the mains let them down . Oh well, it was pleasant sitting out on the pavement & we had a lovely walk along the riverbank watching the lights & city come alive.
