4 July - Germany - Frankfurt
What a show!!!!! Zangoora is certainly Bollywood on the stage ...... I have never seen such an amazing symphony of colour, light, showmanship, costumes & bling, dancing, singing & stage production. There were aerial arrivals, masses of large confetti dropped from the ceiling, actors singing & dancing in the aisles plus each half of of the side walls of the theatre were screens that became part of the stage setting. As the show starts the scene is set by the bass beat that reverberates through your seat. The hotel had organised this for us & we had fab seats... Really comfy lazy boy style. We also had an electronic translator which made such a difference.
Adjacent to the theatre is an area called Culture Gulley - this is an custom built indoor eating hall presented in the following manner. Each Indian state is represented by a facade built to demonstrate that states type of architecture. Inside most there is a Resturant decked out in local style & presenting food typical of that state.
It's very well done & not too busy so we are able to have a good look around before & drink & meal.
The rest of the night /day was taken up with uneventful flight & arrival in Frankfurt. Everything is SO clean, neat & tidy & well maintained. We opted for a city tour to get our bearings & overview. I must say also enjoying a much more temperate climate. 24 degrees & sunny is so much more comfortable & it was a pleasure enjoying a good walk along the green & well manicured riverbank.
Whilst walking back across a bridge we noticed a trend ..... Loads of padlocks attached to the bridge with initials engraved or written on them - see photos.
