She says: As you can see, I have been Asian inspired and am starting to rock a sumo wrestler top knot. On that subject, I watched some sumo wresting at five in the morning today from our super rad hotel (IP Hotel Incheon, you should go), and, although I can say this about many other sports too, I totally don't get sumo wrestling. There is a lot of squatting, throwing chalk in the air like an elephant tosses water with his trunk or a molting male sea lion tosses sand on his itchy body, moving aside of crotch feathers (and the subsequent removal of said feathers) and then a super quick pushing match between two big, fat dudes with fancy hair. It's easy to see who wins, as one guy ends up in the ground, but the whole thing is over in, like, three seconds and I wonder, is that it?
I never had a desire to visit South Korea and know virtually nothing about it. We quickly learned some Korean terms at the Tokyo airport with the free wireless and struggled through the complicated "thank you". I was pleasantly surprised to remember that hello in Korean is "Anyong", which is yet another reason you should all be getting an "Arrested Development" education. You never know when it will come in handy.

He says:
Seoul much to see, Seoul little time. Our stop over in Korea has been pretty cool. To be honest I think I'm half asleep as I write this, as I'm still wicked jet lagged. Anyone who knows me is aware that I am not a "foodie" (read: picky eater) so the food choices in Seoul were very interesting. Chosing between calf cartlidge or liver was tough, so I went with the quintessential (that's for you Mike) Korean dish...pasta. So far, I've been on a pretty heavy diet of bread and water, aka the anti-Atkins. We're leaving for Hong Kong in about a half hour so with a new country brings new hope of eating delicious things.
Despite the food challenges, Soeul was great. We walked around and checked out some cool shops. The people watching was fantastic and our bus driver almost got into three accidents, including almost smoking a bicyclist on our drive into the city from the airport. The US military presence in Seoul is still very heavy, with a base near our hotel, and many military personnel on the streets. I was hoping to run into Ben Johnson and challenge him to a 100-metre sprint, but couldn't find him or his gold medal. Now, on to Hong Kong!

michael Nice entry! Next world tour you'll pack more energy bars Matt. They are essentials for picky eater travellers. Next word is "squirrel-like".
Kim Great update! I think the ticket for eats is just follow your nose and don't ask what it is...Hong Kong street food is infamous for fabulous...I'm confident you'll find many yummy things. Next word is "sauce".
michael Ok - we'll compromise. Next phrase is "squirrel-like sauce". Enjoy the culinary delights of Asia! I was served jelly fish in Shanghai - with a side order of duck tongue.
Jan Have a great time in HK! LKF - shopping is sooooo goood! Matt -you'll find a sense of normalcy for food.
