Arrived in Hong Kong tired and crumpled at 6.30am, by the time we got to the hotel it was nearly 8.30. En route the coach driver pulled into a garage and they put in 150litres of diesel without him turning the engine off!! When we arrived it was too early for the room to be ready. They sent us up to the roof so we could use the showers in the fitness area. These were minute with only one shower and nowhere to get dry. Pete was ok but the ladies shower had no hot water so I was a bit brassed off with that. Had a wash and felt better. It was a beautiful day so we decided to go back to the coast where there are some sandy beaches. We took the famous Star Ferry across from Kowloon to Central then hunted out the no 6 bus which does a coastal run round to Stanley. It takes about an hour but we were tired so sitting down was what we wanted. Had a good lunch in the sun overlooking this bay in the picture then a bit of shopping and returned to get our room.
6am pick up tomorrow but at least it's a day flight. Soon be back to start the Christmas preparations for a good Northern Christmas-none of this BBQ on the beach nonsense
