Franz Josef is crazy, it took 3 hours to get here and it's just surrounded by like rainforest type fauna. It's stunning, most surreal location a hostel has been in so far. I just walk out the front door to be confronted by a massive cliff covered in trees.

As soon as I got here I walked to the Franz Josef glacier the main tourist attraction. It took about 2 hours to walk there and is very imposing. The walk goes along a dry river bed which apparently can flood very quickly. The glacier is blue and very big lol. The pictures do a better job then I can describing it. The people walking on the glacier look like ants from the bottom, which should give a fairly good idea of the scale of it.

Because it was an early start to get here I got back into town at about 4.00 and ate fish & chips AGAIN, I like it and it's cheap but it's starting to get a bit boring. And chilled and watched dances with wolves.
