After so much sightseeing, and general city madness, we were looking forward to hitting thailand's islands and beaches. We took a quick flight from Chiang Mai to Ko Samui and checked into a really nice hotel right on a stunning beach in Chaweng Noi. Weather is roasting hot and Steve got burnt on his first day lying on the beach whilst i was further up the beach getting a pedicure- it's a hard life! Though i did get some wierd stingy bites from unidentified sea creatures when i went in the water! Hope that makes you all feel better as you work hard while we galavant around the glode, lol!

Every evening here was spent eating yummy dinners right on the beach as the sun set - very romantic. The main town of Chaweng was really touristy but it was fun to get caught up in it for a short while. We went to a ladyboy cabaret show which was brilliant- they all looked amazing! Then we found a pub to watch the F1 and witness Jenson Button win the championship.

We did an island safari tour which gave us the opportunity to go on an elephant trek- it was amazing to be sat on such a huge magnificent beast. Also, some of the elephants are trained in tricks and Stevie ended up being the main man in their show! He had to play goalie while an elephant took penalties and then he had to lie on the ground while the elephant put his massive foot gently on steve's (sunburnt) tummy and massaged him! Then his trunk moved to Steve's face and gave him a big snog! It was hilarious- maybe not so funny for Steve! The day ended with quad biking which again was great fun!
