24Hours in Hong Kong. Pretty much covered it (well money wise!). Fantastic place - I'll finish this when we have time,

Ok a wee bit more info now- arrived off yet another overnight train (19hours)- this one from Shanghai- into Hong Kong in the blistering heat. It was a shame we had such a short time here- we had loosely planned for 3days but when we looked into transport links, it just wasn't possible. So what to do in less than 24 hours- we took the subway to the pier and were awed by the amazing views over the river- the skyline all lit up, so pretty. We wanted to soak it all up so we had a drink in a swanky bar (with pricetags to match) on the riverfront. Then we walked along the front and watched a sound and light show that all the skyscrapers were involved in- kinda like a choreographed dance but with lights and buildings instead. Then we took the fantastic 9 minute star ferry (only like 20p) across the water to Hong Kong Island. HK island is so cool and i would love to go back to explore properly. Very expensive to eat and drink though- such a change from China! Had a lovely meal, then some drinks in a cool bar and headed back across the water.
