Well, if anyone's still reading, I am still playing blog catch up! So from August 2010 to January 2011 we lived and worked in the wonderful tiny city of Wellington- we really loved our time here and were lucky to be surrounded by lots of lovely people! This blog is rushed so excuse rubbish writing!

Way to much happened for me to try to blog about it but basically it comes down to- goof friends, lots of nights out in the welsh bar, fine food and wine, alot of dinner parties with the McKeowns, more wine and more wine...honestly though, New ZEaland wine is the best in the world!

We had a lovely, tiny city centre apartment- a bit of a squeeze when my amazing parents made the cross-the-world journey to visit us- we had the best time with them and i was just over the moon to have them there. Managed to spend a few days in the south island with them too.

Christmas 2010 was with the Mckeowns (4 of them) and was a brilliant day- we then went to a bach (beach house) in the beautiful Coromandel region. Lots of brilliant memories of our trip together. Then we were joined by 2 of our best friends Jacqueline and David- we were so touched and so happy that they travelled so far and we had such an amazing time bringing in 2011 with them and the McKeowns at the bach and then Steve, me, Jax and Dave did a fun filled road trip around the north island for 7 days and back to Welly where we parted ways- was brilliant to see them and we are so grateful to have such wonderful friends!

My work as a waitress/barista in Mojo was so much fun cos i worked with such a brilliant group of people. Steve had a job for 2 weeks in the Ministry for Maori Affairs and then a 4month stint in the Ministry for the environment which he loved- he also worked with great people and had lots of social events with them (read booze ups)!!!

Wellington is an easy city to live in- full of amazing cafes and restaurants, very small so easy to walk everywhere and also the safest city i have ever lived in! Its on the coast so you can walk to the beach too- not bad!xx
