Wake up hanging as you like from last night, up for 7 as our bus leaves Siem Reap, crosses the border and heads to Bangkok should hopefully be there by 3. Quick breakfast and talk about last night then all head on the bus. This bus was awful, so hot I had this girl next to me who was like the Head from Art Attack just bopping asleep all morning! Bellend. Got to the border and sorted our visas then got back on the bus. Ended up getting to Bangkok about 5 traffic was a nightmare so soon as got to Bangkok went to Coincidence as per to see Nice but he was fully booked?! Not sure how as Bas said he booked a room for me and Guus as we were staying here one night as flying out tomorrow. Anyway me and Guus went to a hostel round the corner Urbed which was brand new and seriously nice so dropped out stuff off had a shower then headed for Khoa San! Jessie was meeting us here as she is on the same flight as Bas and Willem to Amsterdam she messaged to say she was waiting with her friend Imke for ages at Coincidence where I said to meet but the bus was so late so they went off. We headed to Magic Max which is always good to see him and luckily enough Jessie and Imke walked past us so joined us for food, beers and tricks! Couldn't help but notice how quiet Khoa San was, eerily quiet the buzz had gone from the bombing the other day it was like the city was on edge. Unsurprisingly of course considering what happened. So we all walked round Khoa San had a few beers at Coincidence upstairs and then the guys got all their stuff together ready to go. Prior to this Guus had a falling out with Nice at the hostel somehow Nice is true to his name he is one of the nicest guys so how you can fall out I don't know but did come to say goodbye to everyone when they left for the airport. I had been with Bas well over 2 months had about 4 days not with each other, Willem well over a month and both have been a pleasure to have been around everyday is a laugh and just doing something stupid. Apart from the phone incident, never been a dull moment which is very rare considering you are spending 24/7 together really and in every group we have always been in it together. Tough saying bye but I know I will go to Eindhoven one day and they will come to the UK we get on too well to just not see each other again. Then there was the last goodbye, Jessie. From day one we have just clicked us 2 and Boyan in Dalat was such a good laugh we all have the same sense of humour. Tough saying bye to her I knew we would see each other again also think she found it tough too frequently coming back for a hug. Worst part of travelling again, sucks! So they then left for the airport and then weirdly when all saying goodbye, Dylan and Lieke pulled up who we were with at Arcadia in Kampot! They had just had a 25 HOUR bus journey from Cambodia to Bangkok! Savage! So me, Guus, Imke, Dylan and Lieke went out for a few beers down Khoa San. Dylan and Lieke left early as was their last night together Dylan was heading to New Zealand and Lieke back to work at her school. Guus went back also as wanted an early night so was just me and Imke left but nothing was happening big anyway - Khoa San shut at 12 which is unheard of. Security everywhere and yeah, a big 'sums it up' as to how Bangkok is after the bombing. So s*** to see Bangkok is crazy and I hope it recovers soon when I'm next there which will be next week with Guus. Walked Imke back to Coincidence as she was staying there so I got back to my hostel at 3am just reflecting on today where basically everyone I have been seriously close with has gone, weird weird feeling! Gonna seriously miss those 3 legends!
