Wake up again at 7 had around 3 hours sleep as me and Guus were heading to Don Mueang to catch our flights I was off to Laos at 10.15 and Guus off to Myanmar at 10.50, somehow we split ways at the airport he had issues with his visa and I was on FaceTime to Rhi at the airport as she was struggling with the guy she is travelling with and wasn't too great as they had split ways and she was in Mexico City on her own! Spoke to her for a bit and then went through check in to catch the short flight I would be going to the border by Udon Thani, then getting the bus through the border along the friendship bridge at Nongkhai and then another bus into the capital Vientiane. Flight was an hour and a half, then 2 hour bus to the border which was a right palava but got there in the end then got on the big bus with the locals to where I would get my visa. Kip was the currency my iPad I had the currency exchange rate which was dead and didn't have on my phone so when at the cash point had no idea what 1,000,000 kip would be (turns out £77) so paid for my visa which was around $35 which is for 15 days as going over land to Laos and then had a minibus to Vientiane with a guy who spoke very little English. Got scammed here I think I paid 50,000 kip more than I should of done but just wanted to get to a hotel for the day to sort my stuff out and just chill this week has been a roller coaster with early nights, lack of sleep, took it out of me saying bye to Bas, Willem and Jessie to be honest after so long together so booked into a hotel was around £18 for a night which is pretty expensive but was nice so stayed here. Went out for dinner, table for 1 please haha and worked out my plan for Laos. Will go to the hostel tomorrow to meet people today has just been a sort out day and had plenty of sleep throughout the day. Facetimed Leanne which is always good to catch up with home and spoke with Dani a lot who was having issues at home with work. Will catch up with mum and everyone tomorrow. Spoke with Bas, Willem and Jessie which was good they all got home ok. Guus was in Myanmar fine he was staying with 'mom' at Yoe Yoe Lay in Mandalay where we stayed! Would stay in Vientiane tomorrow also before moving on want to do as much as I can up until I leave Laos next weekend
