Me and Bas got separate flights back to Bangkok as he booked earlier I booked a flight half an hour later as we were heading to Chiang Mai tomorrow with Timon. Bas' flight got delayed so I arrived in Bangkok ahead of him. We couldn't wait to get back to Bangkok I couldn't especially as the last time I had just arrived to start travelling and as much as you can read up and plan your travelling, nothing can prepare you for Bangkok especially. The heat, the people, the money difference, the scams, the way travelling works you can only relate to when you have done a few weeks around different places. First things first when land and get a taxi to Khoa San Road - get a pad Thai! Man I missed a pad Thai. Followed swiftly by a 7/11 toastie ha! I don't care what anyone says a highlight of Thailand is the toasties from a local 7/11 store. Done some haggling around the markets and got some new vests, shirts etc. Checked into the Coincidence hostel I met Bas at before Myanmar which looked nice and had decent wireless! First time in 2 weeks so face timed home to see how mum, chief and Dani were doing which was great to see them. Caught up a bit with home and what's been happening. Sorted ourselves out with laundry, awesome showers in the hostel and the owner was a ledge with us too. Willem arrived here a few hours later Bas' roommate from home seems a bit of a ledge! Went to see Magic Max's restaurant basically a guy who does magic tricks whilst we are eating he was awesome he was setting his wallet on fire, doing crazy card tricks as well and real nice guy too. Laura joined us here again also which was good to see her! Few beers and food here and then went back to the hostel to get ready for tonight, we were hitting it hard tonight as Myanmar was basically a detox! Timon met us back at the hostel so the team was half reunited from Myanmar! All buzzing for Khoa San Road! Went out and had a few beers, ate a scorpion which was lovely... Not! Met some random kid on the street he must of been about 2 years old, raving his ass off! So good to see we were dancing with him and he was loving it. His mum was taking him away and he was in tears bless him. So got to around 11pm and hit the buckets... The rest, only Bangkok knows!... :(
