Check out of the hotel I am in at Namphu and find a hostel online called Dream House which seems the best in the area around a 15 minute walk. So good to have a decent night sleep, sort my rucksack, laundry and work out a plan for Laos. Walk around the town and get a Laos SIM card and toiletries that I needed. Get to the hostel and it is so chilled out, a couple of guys are in my dorm one of them a real camp guy says how he's only been travelling for 4 days seemed unsure of everything and uneasy. We went to the pool which was round the corner from the hostel in the middle of a building site pretty much the scaffolding with wooden bamboo surrounding buildings looks so dodgy! Boiling by the pool so was there a few hours. Wireless is great everywhere I've been to in Laos so as it was the weekend done a FaceTime session spoke to mum and Dani, Jimbo Caz and the kids who are on holiday at the moment, surprise call from Longer and Jimmer Langan on the golf course which was good. Not a lot really to do around here so was looking forward to moving on to Vang Vieng tomorrow bus leaves at 1pm with loads to do there with waterfalls, cliffs with an awesome view, tubing to do. United was on against Newcastle early kick off so found a sports bar right on the Mekong River called Highland run by a crazy Scottish Rangers fan it was a perfect lads boozer had screens all round the pub and had a good atmosphere. Mekong River looks stunning at night I just managed to get to the sunset as well. 0-0 don't know how we didn't win a Geordie guy was watching on the table next to me as I was at the bar and could feel a jump on the back coming on if they scored towards the end! Few Beerlao's there then went back to the hostel which was around 12 ish, quiet as heck in town walked past a 'nightclub' had a peak in but nothing major. Watched the scores come in back at the hostel and that was that, Vientiane if you want to do NOTHING all day this is the place! :)
