Chill out for the day morning at the hotel, speak with Rhi who's secret is now out she is coming out from Mexico where she is at the moment as her and her travelling guy Josh have split ways so is making her way from Mexico City, to Vancouver, to Bangkok! Around 40 hours travel time the girl is nuts so will see her no doubt after Laos. Had some lunch and worked out a plan for the next few days and then got the bus at 2 (or 2.45) as it turned up. Took nearly 5 and a half hours to get to Vang Vieng on a cramped bus full of Chinese and South Koreans with barely any air con. Got dropped off and went to Pan's Place which I had been advised to go seemed a nice hostel at first, one room left luckily. The guy there an English lad was laughing as he said it had just had a paint touch up so it stank heavily of paint! I didn't care so took it and a guy always came in who wanted a room so asked if wanted to share to split the cost which was fine. A German guy with massive dreads called himself 'Foo Onion' seemed a cool guy very chilled out tone in his voice struggled to keep up at times. Went out for the footy as Chelsea were playing West Brom and then City v Everton read about this Gary's Irish Bar being the place to be and it was right the food was good, great banter in here and some good lads to watch the footy with. Asked for a Guinness and black which got laughed at :) No blackcurrant in Guinness for the Irish. After footy checked out Sakura bar opposite the motto was 'Drink treble, see double, act single'. Music was booming in there but didn't really know anyone so left and went to the hostel as booked a tubing, trekking, kayaking course early in the morning
