Sevilla to Ronda House 3-31
Hi, I'm Cam and I was just staying at the Finca la Cabra house for three nights. It was a lot of fun. My family and I were staying with the Shane family in Spain. On the first day we played football and stuff. We didn't go to any museums or anything, but it was fun just chilling out at home. That night Ryan and I stayed up 'till one o'clock. It was fun, but kind of hard because I had to wake up at 4:00 the morning before to get on our flight. On the second day we went to the bull fighting museum and ring.It was really cool (the ring) but the museum was kinda boring.Only one guy died bull fighting in that ring.We even got to see a picture of him getting hit by the bull. They buried him at the entrance where the Matadors come into the ring. After that, we went in the pool for a while. It was pretty fun.We stayed up pretty late the second night but not as late as the first, but I went to sleep with my family. On the third day we went into town for lunch. But before that we went to the witchcraft museum.I thought it would be kinda stupid but it was pretty cool. They had a ton of weird torture devices like the head crusher, which I am going to leave to you to find out when you visit. One room was really creepy. It had a ton of weird animals put together like there was an eagle with a snake head an stuff, but not alive.I wanted to get out of there real soon. After that we got lunch and me and Ryan got slingshots. They can shoot really hard and far and they hurt a lot if you get hit by a rock loaded in one.We played with those for a while but then we played a baseball game.My team won. Then we played a football game.It was kind of dumb because each team only got one chance to score, but it was pretty fun. Each team tied. That was my last night in Spain.I leave this afternoon.I had a lot of fun with the Shane's and I had a great time.I would love to come back again.- Cameron Bartlett
Ronda house 3-32
As Cameron explained in his blog, he and his family stayed in the Ronda house with us for a couple days! While they were here, we went to the oldest bullring in Spain, located in Ronda. It is a museum and a bullring where the art of modern bullfighting began. The museum showed the fascinating history of the bullfights while the ring itself was captivating. One example of this history is that only one man was ever gored in the bullring and died. He is now buried under the spot where the bulls come out.
After that, we went to the museum of inquisition and witchcraft. In the museum, we saw different devices they would use to torture people accused of witchcraft or citizens who spoke out against the Catholic religion during the inquisition. The inquisition was during the Christian movement. These devices would do things such as crush or shatter bones and damage muscles! Anyway we had a lot of fun with the Bartlett's and we will actually see them again in London. That's all for now.
