After some much needed rest and breakfast, I met some fellas to explore the Yarra Valley wineries. A French grad student and a Malaysian dentist residing in Sydney. Both chaps were a bit older than the traditional backpacker crowd, which was perfect for me. After last night, I was looking for smth chilled.
We rented a car and went wine tasting! Something new for me, but those guys were wine connisseurs.
Australia has great vineyards and the countryside is very peaceful. A much needed break from the hustle & bustle of Melbourne. The wines were great, Domaine Chandon, being the most famous.
On the return to Melbourne, I stopped for a brief visit to the Tennis center and pictures of Rod Laver Arena. Very beautiful and great view of the river.
Tonight was good for dinner. We ate great food. Melbourne is known for its sports, fashion, and food. So, I had some Nepalese food, much like Indian food. Good beer too.
Don't worry...I was not drunk. Aussie has very strict "drink-driving laws" .
