Phi Phi

Well it really is paradise here...such a stunning island. Unfortunately the tsuanmi's impact has left a great dent here, many of the hotels, companies etc etc are still suffering dramatic loss following the disaster nearly three years ago. There's construction work going on all over the island and a strange sense of sadness all around...however, despite this, locals are still smiling and are determined to fight back...hopefully by next year, the whole island will be recovered.

The beaches around Phi Phi are beautiful; the film 'The Beach' was famously filmed starring leorando dicaprio.

Absoultely paradise.

I took a longboat around the island which was fab and got to go snorkelling...also watched the sunset which was great.

I'm going to spend another few nights here - before heading back up to Bangkok.

It's boiling here by the way...by now, not really sunbathing so much...shade is a lot more inviting!!!!
