Although i've only been here two days, i've fallen in love with this country! arrived in phuket, and got taken to my hostel which i'm paying only 2.50 a night ... it's actually one of the nicest, cleanest, friendliest hostels i've stayed in so far!
As i'm staying in phuket town, i had to catch a local bus to patong beach ... the bus was more like a trailer, full of thai people...an experience in itself! Patong beach was one of the worst hit areas with the tsunami, but the only indication of there ever been a tsunami there now are the tusnami warning signs for the safe areas. Had a nice day sunbathing at beach...topping up that tan! i'm so proud!!!!

Went to Phanh-nga national park today, really beautiful. it's famous because the Man with the Golden Gun, that old Bond classic was filmed here! Also got to go elephant trekking and ox carting...and i was also fortunate enough to experience my first ever thai massage...by an elephant!!!

Heading to phi phi island tomorrow (where The Beach was filmed with leornado dicpario)...this apparently is the best place in the world.... we'l soon find out!
