Woken up not a happy bunny today... So last night I got attacked by bugs and my arms looked really blotchy all over. So I switched beds last night thinking I'd be ok but now I look like I am diseased. I even have a bite on my bum. That's not cool...
Went to the central market hall this morning which had fresh food markets, spices market and souvenir shops. Walked around a bit and tried bartering but failed :( turns out Hungarians don't find bartering funny. Bought a couple of souvenir/novelty things.
Tried a langthos which is a Hungarian dish of fried bread. I had a sweet one with Nutella and bananas. Was very messy but so good!
Off to the thermal bath schzweyn.
Took the yellow metro line there. Which is apparently one of the oldest metro lines in Budapest dating back 100 years.
Had a reallllly relaxing day in the thermal baths. Went from super hot to really cold baths... Apparently good for your skin and health.
Then went to a relaxation area which was like a rainforest decorated room with banana hammocks. We had herbal tea and a fruit plate which was very refreshing.
Spent to whole of the afternoon here just relaxing in the sun catching a tan.
Went to a restaurant in Astoria tonight and tried a traditional Hungarian dish- Hortobàgyi pancakes. Which was like chicken pancakes. Was goooood. Also tried their famous desert cake (can't remember the name but was nice!)
Went to the square again for drinks. Ended up going on the Ferris wheel and coming back home for a drink. Last night in Budapest. Off to Prague tomorrow!
