Lauterbrunnen was breathtaking; it really felt like I was in the middle of nowhere… surrounded by 72 waterfalls and mountains on either side of the little town make it so quiet and a good escape from the busy cities. We stayed at a camping ground in our own little cabin which was so cosy and surprising warm.Contiki also stayed at the campsite and when we arrived they had a theme night which meant we were surrounded by guys dressed up as girls and the girls as guys…. lets just say some of the guys went to WAY too much trouble and looked WAY too feminine but a great laugh none the less. There was a bomb shelter in the campsite which was the "club" and offered some messy drinking (again!) and dancing to random music with some cool people.Luckily the lovely fresh air in the morning helped any traces of hangovers

We had a traditional Swiss show on also with dancing etc so that was something different! The highlight of my time here was getting the chance to go up Jungfrau, the highest point in Europe, a little expensive but worth every penny. Took a little train at like 6am in the morning up to the top of the mountain where the views were amazing.It has snow 365 days of the year because it's extremely high and we were lucky enough to go on an absolutely clear sunny day.

Unfortunately only managed to see one of the waterfalls in the valley but this one was the most impressive. Trummerlbach is a glacier waterfall flowing from the top of Jungfrau and passing 20000 litres of water a second through the mountain - scary! Lauterbrunnen was definitely my favourite place on the tour and wish we could have stayed longer aawww just thinking about it makes me want to go back right now haha.
