This wildlife viewing is tough stuff!. Up at 5:00am left at 5:30 (and this includes Lorne who has a hard time making a 10:30am tee time). First off ran into an elephant coming at us on the road on which he thought he had the right of way. Guess what? We were not inclined to argue, although about 20 meters from the vehicle he graciously moved off the road. After a pretty good 3 hours of viewing, we came back to the lodge for breakfast. Left again at 10:00am for more viewing. Ran into another tourist who claimed to have seen a leopard about 2 hours north so off we went. No luck but we did see plenty of giraffe, buffalo, zebra, etc. Not a wasted drive. Back at 4:00pm and started to work on photos. Tonight our guide Andre Hamann cooked a traditional South African Braai. We would call it a barbeque, but that is not proper terminology here. Delicious!! Helped by plenty of great South African wine (most expensive we found here at the lodge store was $7.00 and it was great). Off agin tomorrow at 5:30am. (I can't believe we are doing this.)
