An easy day, involving a round trip over the Panoramic Route which travels on top of an escarpment in the Drakensburg mountain range. We started with a visit to Pilgrims' Rest which is the site of a gold discovery in 1873. From there to the Pinnacle, a spire of black quartz. Again up at 5:00am to pack the vehicle. Began game searching at 5:30. Finally saw a lion and 10 Kudu, which is the symbol of Kruger National Park. Left the Park at about noon and began driving south. The viewing in the Park was not bad. We saw plenty of impala, zebra, elephants and giraffes as well as plenty of other animals. Only saw one lion and no leopard, cheetah and rhino.
