After many tears at the airport (most of them mine!!) I finally made it onto the plane. There was a period in time (an hour before we left to get there) that I wasn't even sure if I was going to be getting there seeing as I had yet to pack and get everything in... lol. Typical... VERY typical...

The plane ride was LONG but smooth (ignoring the turbulence and getting stuck in Abu Dhabi cause of fog even though it was 30 degrees at 9am...) and I was feeling a little worse for wear on arriving in Heathrow...

Now, let me say, EVERYTHING I have been told about London so far has not been proven true - I've had perfect blue skies (I even got sunburned a little and have a pretty fair tan after a week here!), it's been around the thirty mark every day and it's never been too packed to get out! I was kind of hoping for cold and miserable on arriving though considering I was lugging close to 30 kgs... lol. Somehow I also managed to pick up a really nasty cough - so fingers crossed it's all gone by tomorrow...!!

I've been really lucky to be able to stay with friends while I've been here, and I've been made to feel very welcome... so much so, that it feels like I'm back home! Thank you Stretch, Jay, Lin, Dan, Kristian, Brendan and Johnny for making me feel so welcome! :)

I did a tourist walk to check out all of the 'Royal' side of London, and I've also been to an Underwater Music Festival, ridden more buses and trains than ever before, and had a few nights at the Pub. Also caught up with Kel and her London contingency today, so was great to see her before I run away for the next 2 months!

Tonight it's packing to head off for South America tomorrow! Very excited and can't wait to catch up with Kirbs there! :)
