Nassau Day 1
WOW. I am just loving Nassau! I love the colors, the kindness of the people, oh and all the beautiful clear blue/green water and white sand beaches doesn't hurt either! :)
I got in around 1pm and waited at the airport for Alissa to arrive. Then we took a taxi ride to the hotel which is pretty huge and has it's own little private beach (i know i feel so spoiled!), and casino. Little did i know that there is a huge poker tournament going on this week...if only I was good at poker i could make some cash for my trip! :)
oh and i never realized how expensive these touristy places can be! I already spend over a $100 bucks yesterday with food, taxis and tips. But being here is just so worth it! as you can see from the picture, we have a view of the water and the pool, just incredible!
Today I am relaxing and reflecting on what this journey is going to be! It's ifnally hitting me that i'm in the Bahamas and will be on a ship in 24 hrs training and will be travelling soon after that!
Check out the pictures and feel free to leave comments!
Here's my "thought to ponder" of the day from a book i threw into my bag as I was packing: "The privileges of a human being are to wonder, to ponder, to practice and realize."

sangu First off, I'm jealous that you get to travel around the world and all I get to do is sit at home and study. Second, remember all your thoughts and pictures and reflections, it would be good for writing a book! :-)
S&J, East Hartford,CT After seeing the pictures we have no choice but decided to go to Bahamas for next vacation!!!! World Travelller gains good experience, knowledge and wisdom with lot of fun in the process. Wish you have a safe and happy journey.
Puri I'm also jealous, but very excited for you buddy. This is a great opportunity for you, so enjoy every single second of it.
