In Paihia now and its brilliant!! Staying in a cool little hostel and the rooms are huge and new. The bar at night is decked out with candles and hundreds of fairy lights which gives it that something that sticks in your head. Its nice being by the coast again but its been abit cold for swimming. As the way travelling is you always meet new people and thats what we have done, yesterday we met a guy and caught a ferry (It was a small bloody speedboat not a ferry!!) over to Russel which was NZs first capital. It was a quaint little place not alot happening really but i had to stop in the oldest pub in NZ.
