Well, we've arrived at our first stop. We left Guelph and about 6.45 am and got to the border in Sarnia by about 9.30. They made us go in, checked out our passports, wanted to see my kids Canadian citizenship (Funny watching the guy figure out which kid was which from their baby pictures that are on the card!) Turned out to be a quick stop though and they didn't search the car so that went well.
Drove awhile through pouring rain. Seems to come out of nowhere. Enjoyed the nice spacious roads and the beautiful scenary, eapecially once we crossed the bridge into upper Michigan. Ate our picnic at a stop along the road, kids played with a squirrel. I was really tired after lunch and had to pull over once to close my eyes for about 20 min. and then I was good to go again.
Got to Escanaba at 6.30 pm. Kids and I swam in the pool and whirlpool and then went out for nachos and a platter of appetizer goodies. All in all a good day!
We'll see how tomorrow goes. We are supposed to get as far as Winnipeg but we'll see how we are feeling...

Hannah Hi Suzi & KidZ, glad you arrived at your destination and that you managed to let us know. If that photo is of where you are then it looks beautiful. Nachos eh!! Haven't had mine yet, had pepperoni pizza and Ben & Jerry's Icecream which was just as good. I had a quiet day today. Think I will be hiring a bike and doing lots of biking around the national parks but we'll see. Anyway, hope you get a good night's sleep tonight so that you are all good to go tomorrow. Love y'all.
