Just lost my long story.................
To make a long story short, had a very long drive to Grand Forks. Left Escanaba at 8.30 am and with all the pee stops, food stops and stretch stops, we ended up in Grand Forks at 8.30 pm - 12 hours in the car! Decided to stay for the night even though we were only 2,5 hours away from Winnipeg. The kids were great during the trip. Thank God for those dvd players! I lost count after their 6th movie!
Saw a dead deer, 2 skunks and a racoon along the way. Also saw a live deer graving beside the highway. Thought it would jump out at us but turned and ran away.
After many hours of forest and lake scenary, I can smell the prairie air coming my way. Things are getting flatter and flatter and I'm smiling all the way!

HANNAH And there was I thinking that the kids were sitting, looking out the window, admiring the scenery and here you have them plugged into dvd players :-). Nice to know what fauna you saw aplastado along the highway, sounds like the dead outnumber the living.... Glad to hear you're smiling..... hugs to you and to the lil' devils oops sorry angels.
