Long flight from Sydney to LAX. Was some probs with seats as they hadn't given us the ones we had reserved and tried to separate us. Saw supervisor who gave us 4 in a row and club lounge access! Arrived LAX on the same morning again( very weird). Picked up car, waited ages at Alamo again and had to upgrade to visit bags in!! Got a Dodge Durango, good car. Drove to San Diego, couldn't check in at 12, went for lunch, sat on the beach and finally got into rooms at 3...

Up and met the Kiddies to go to Watsons Bay for fish and chips at Doyles, yummy. Matty went with little David to an AFL game. Kev, Emi and I went round Opera House and took lots of photos and had coffee/hot chocolate. Then Emi and I went shipping for UGG boots and crystals. Dinner of nachos and pizza then back to pack.

Had a v lazy morning as still pouring outside. Got dressed and went by train to Bondi beach. Got drenched crossing the road to the bus stop. Waves were big!! Had quick lunch and ran back to get ready to go to David and Sue's. Missed the ferry coz kev left his ticket at apt. Matty ran back for it and missed ferry by 1 minute!! Raining again!! Kev went to play indoor golf/lunch with tim and a broker. Kids and I went to QVB building and shopping mall. Found umbrella for Emi from stroppy shop girl! Went on ferry to Darling Harbour, absolutely pouring down walked round to IMAX cinema and got soaked. Walked back to city and hopped on a bus to apartment. Kev back so we went to Jacksons for dinner.

Raining!!! Bus to Crows Nest, coffee and cake. Collected dry cleaning. Climbed Sydney Harbour Bridge. Amazing. Guide called Chris had just returned from his hols in America. The climb started gently, we walked on the lower level 49m high, that is also how wide the bridge is. Then we climbed loads of scary steps up to the arch which was 90m high. View fantastic.
