Arrived in Noosa at around 4.30pm and set up camp for the week. Kids checked out the jumping pillow and drooled over the pool. Hired a car (Hyundi Getz - do not hire one of these, they feel like they're running on 1 cylinder). Familiarised ourselves with the township of Noosa.
Took the kids to Aussie World and had lunch at the Etamogah Pub which is nearby. Aussie World proved to be a dissapointment and wouldn't really recommend it to anyone, it may be better during holiday season. Most of the rides were unattended, and some even out of action.
After Aussie World we headed to Mooloolabah and went to Underwater World which was awesome and highly recommended to everyone. Much better than the Melbourne Aquarium for the same price. The kids loved it and even got a kiss from a seal :)
Caught up with good friends Donovan and Sharon and the family. Great to see them and we'll be catching up with them again while in the Gold Coast. Donovan was nicknamed D-Dog by our youngest girl Abbey lol.
Also went to The Ginger Factory which was a pretty good trip. Tasted some great chocolates!!
Bellingham Maze is another place we visited in the Sunshine Coast. The kids totally loved the place. It's a huge hedge maze, where the kids have to find Snow white in her tower (or windmill lol). Before you head into the maze there are other puzzles and games for everyone to play. We never did find Snow White, but found a few dwarves in the maze lol.
From Bellingham Maze we headed to Bli Bli to Sunshine Castle. Not a real castle, more set up for the kids. A great day all around, and we ended up buying an amazing sword and knife from there.
Steve Irwin Day (Nov 15th) at Australia Zoo was also an amazing trip. Australia Zoo is well worth the money and effort even though we didn't quite get to see the entire place in 7 hours! Being Steve Irwin Day meant there were a few celebrities there and a great show in the Crocoseum. It was great to see Terri and the kids just roaming around the place instead of hiding away behind the scenes.
Tomorrow (Nov 16th) we head to the Gold Coast! Theme Parks here we come!!
