Today we went on our Lord of The Rings tour, we had been told that even if you were not a huge LOTR fan [Kelly] you would still enjoy this tour and appreciate the scenery of the southern alp snow mountains, and they were right. we got picked up at 9 this morning by our tour guide Rex and immediately headed for the southern alps, it was a 3 hour drive right into the mountains and the scenery was spectacular. Massive green forests with snow topped mountains in the background, as we got deeper into the mountains the forests disappeared and we were surrounded by these mountains, for the LOTR fans we drove up to the kingdom of Rohan, otherwise known as Edoras. This is where they shot a lot of the film and we walked to the top of the mountain, we stood where the actors stood in places like the Golden Hall, we also got to take some geeky pictures up the top holding Aragon's sword, Gimli's axe and the flag of Rohan. Rex told us a lot about the making of the film and he had met a lot of the cast and crew. He then pointed out helms deep, another part of the film where there is a huge battle. We then went to a restaurant in the middle of the mountains and had steak (where we could eat ripe meat off the bone) and champagne whilst looking out at the mountains. It was a really good day and even better if your a Lord Of The Rings fan. ''YOU SHALL NOT PASS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!''
