Wednesday (2nd)
We got through T5 with ease and were a little impressed to say the least.
Miami airport and car hire however was a! we finally made it to Key Largo around 11pm local time. Had fun going round and round Miami's absurd road system.
Thursday (3rd)
we rocked up to the dive shop but the sea conditions were too rough to go out - GUTTED. Oh well, a day in the bar(s) was to be had and enjoyed to the max. (not until after Scott took a visit to a blue rinse grannies hair dressers to shave off his bouffant and the biggest gun shop you ever did see!)
Friday (4th)
dive cancelled again!, started to get worried if we would ever get wet! We took a drive down to Key West to make use of the day. 100 miles, a 7 mile bridge and a very long road through the islands later, we arrived at the most southerly point of the USA. Walked along the world famous Duval Street and ate the finest Key Lime Pie - it rocked. Went to a few galleries, some good some not so!! On our way back Clare saw her first luminous green lizard, of which Scott promptly ran over! SPLAT (accidentally)
Saturday (5th)
The sea calmed so we managed to dive. Yippee! Dived with 'Sea Dwellers', they were great, we've managed to reschedule our diving for the rest of the week with a better forecast ahead. The diving was OK - French reef (Christmas tree cave and 5 caves) saw some good fish but best of all we've actually started diving with 40 more dives to go! Upon our return we discovered we had some rather odd tan lines ! oh well slip slap slop. Hitting the bars again, bring on the Beam.
P.S. thanks for all the messages they mean a lot.
