Breakfast by the canal, watching the traffic (boats, that is). They provide a lovely breakfast and are eager to please. Them off to sight see. Very crowded, even at this time of year when it is shoulder season. Went for a long walk, getting lost in all the back streets. Eventually ended up at the Rialto and from there to the train station, which we are just around the corner from. Had a nice dinner in a restaurant on the opposite side of our hotel.

Said goodbye to Bellagio reluctantly. What a nice place. Took the ferry to Varenna (after some conflicting advice from the hotel staff about which boat to take). Train to Milano Centrale. Then Milano Centrale to Venezia. Luckily, one of the hotel staff had told me about a booking agent in Bellagio who booked and printed our train tickets the night before so we didn't have to line up and worry about tickets.
