Had a great sleep in. We have block out blinds on the outside of our windows which stopped any sun coming in and reduced, by some, the noise of musicians. Took the hydrofoil to Como. It takes only 45 mins as opposed to the bus - 2 hours and the slow ferry - about 2 hours too. The hydrofoil is expensive at 40€ each way but sure beats a water taxi at 350€ each way! Early start to the day, at Nice station at 7am for a train (45 mins) to Ventimiglia. A short wait, then on next train (4 hours) to Milano Centrale. A long ride but we had our own private cabin with sliding door and curtains on both sides. Very quaint. Milano Centrale was chaos. People everywhere but no ATM in sight.
