What a great day: The birds were singing this morning, it was hard rock I think, but they seemed to be enjoying themselves. The rain has stopped at last and the sun has been out today. You can't beat the smell of an Italian tannery in hot weather. Literally an eye watering experience. Anyway, delivery made and off to swap my empty trailer for a full one at the depot in Brescia. Once that was done and I'd received my paperwork it was off to my delivery point in Zermeghedo. It's a lovely place even if it does look like they did nuclear testing here in the 1950's. Anyway, all was going well until the people in the office pointed out to me that I appeared to be a day early. Luckily I have a spare cat and some pigeons just for this kind of moment and I put them together before phoning the office in sunny Northampton. They were all in their usual high spirits and over the tragic Emo songs playing in the background I heard a light hearted exchange of words and strangely a pistol shot before the line went dead. I've assumed I'm delivering in the morning now. Oh well, at least I'm parked next door to a bar so it's time for dinner then a beer before bed. The joys of driving a truck for a living.
