Hi All, we have returned from the Hilltribe trek in one piece, juat about !!!! It was sooooo hard, the first day was supposed to be flat walking for 1 1/2 hours but i think our rep got his english mixed up as it was about 3 hours of extreme hill walking!!!! Also he got us lost for half an hour which didn't input my trust in him. Finally got to the village and I conked out, no dinner just straight to bed. Next day got a motorbike around the jungle, took me nearly 3 hours off road across 6 rivers and no water to get to the elephant camp. It all seemed worth it though when i saw the elephants. I soon changed my mind once i was on the back of the thing. Our elephant was stubborn and kept wandering down the mountain side, me and jade were quite scared and were contempalting jumping off if it werent for the fear of breaking our legs and having to go on a motorbike again. We finally got to the 2nd village were we enjoyed being eaten by mozzies, the followinf morning we headed of to the river to do some bamboo rafting, pics to follow, our tour guide has them, off to Bangkok tonight, Speak soon xxxxxxxxx much love xxxxxxxxxx
