Hello all from South Africa!!!!!!! Havent been able to update blog in a while as been on the road for the last 10 days and have travelled over 2000km's so spent alot of time on the bus!!!! Havent got much time so will fill in the blanks at a later date!!!! Our first stop in Africa was a small guesthouse in glenashley where we stayed for 1 night before heading off to my friend Jackies house in Hammersdale!!!!! We had lots of fun playing with her 5 dogs and seeing all the horses!!!!! On the 12th of feb we took a drive to the Nagal dam and saw our first african zebra (on a football pitch)!!!! On valentines day we headed off to Tala Game reserve for a spot of safari, where we spotted lots of zebra, springbuck, giraffes, rhinos, warthogs and many others.......!!! Before we knew it was time to end our stay at jax and move into durban to start our tour!!!!! At the happy hippo, we had a few drinks at the bar and a lovely 3 course meal put on by the owner!!!!! Next morning was an early start to head down to Port St Johns, where we pitched up our tent and enjoyed a lovely Braei (bbq)!!!!! Next day we had another early morning and headed off to the traditional village of the Xhosa people, where we learnt to talk, dance and eat like them!! I was also told i am ready to be married due to my maize grinding skills!!!! That night we stayed in the Indongene hut!
The next day we headed to the east london area of south africa and towards Addo elephant park!!! where we did a 3hr game drive and managed to spot many animals including some lions, but they were very far away!!!! After a night in the national park we headed towards Tsitsikamma national park, but not before atching a few of our group members do the worlds highest bungee jump!!!! After a hairraising afternoon we arrived at camp where we camped on the beach and watched baboons steal peoples food and climb through their windows!!! The sunset was very cool here, i have plenty of pics to prove it!!!! After 2 days here and 2 nights we headed to Outdshoorn/Knysna heads where we camped again! On the way we visited a wild cat rehabilitation centre called Tenikwa, where we got to see leopards, cheetahs and many other wild cats!!!!
We are now in capetown and off to start our other trip in a couple of days!!!! As we will be on the road again i doubt i will be able to update now until i get home as i only have 10 nights left!!!!!!
