Today's adventure was an incredibly long walk to the train station thought I'd sort out the ticket for the overnight train to Chaing Mai for the 17th I got there at 1pm having left at 10am by the most direct route, once there was told the train is fully booked so had to go with the 18th instead praying that the hostel had a room for me for the extra night, no such luck! However hostel next door has a bed in the mixed dorm available, Glad I brought me pj's! Ok so ticket bought started on journey back though China Town, this was an adventure in itself. It was hot, incredibly crowded and if you need it, someone here sold it. Changed my mind about walking back and went down to the pier to get a boat back now either I got on the wrong one or the bloke who sold me the ticket lied to me, I ended up at the end of the line in the wrong direction, a lovely thai lady helped me with what to do next and for 33 pence I went back in the right direction. Got off near to the hostel and straight back to sort out hostel in Chang Mai and for £5.50 a night managed to book myself in to a room to myself (dorm was more??) with cold shower and a fan and they pick me up from the train station! They also offer trekking from here so looking forward to doing this after this I think back down the country towards the south islands will sort this at Chang mai when I decide how long I'm going to stay for. No rain today and its 34 degrees :-)
