Today I thought I'd go out and about a bit as the picture shows I ended up at the Wat Phra Karw & Grand Palace also known as the temple of the Golden Buddha it's a beautiful place I got lost a couple of times as thought I'd save money and walk there I got accosted a few times by people trying to con me into hiring a tuk tuk for a few hours as apparently the temple wasn't open for 3 more hours (this was a lie)! Luckily for me I had read about this so just walked away as it kept happening and I can't for the life of me remember thai for 'no' I ended up putting my headphones in and listening to music instead worked a treat! Now it took nearly 2 hours to walk there and as the pictures show it was very beautiful I thought I'd treat myself on the way back to a tuk tuk ride the first guy said 300 second guy I managed to haggle down to 150 easier than I thought! I told him to drop me off on the Khosan Road half way there it started to thunder and lightning and then only what I can describe as a monsoon descended! Somebody jinxed my trip ;-) I got soaked to the bone and had no choice but to stop off in a bar to dry out with a large glass of Chang beer, not bad by the way if you get chance to try it, after this back to the hostel. After a nap I had a shower and headed back out to the Khoasan Road for something to eat which ended up being a pad thai with chicken and egg, wow! Loved it and for only 89 pence it was the best meal ever!! After some more wandering it was back to the hostel for bed!
Also need to think about where to go next and how to get there so need to get planning as last night in this hostel is the 16th!
