Woke up and went for breakfast with Laura and a new girl called Koko from China. It was alright, still a little expensive but we then decided to go to the beach. The weather was beautiful and we sat there on a sun lounger for quite some time before going swimming. Vis was much better today, far less sand but there just isn't many fish swimming about on Kata beach unless you go over to the rocks. The plan later on today was to go to the viewpoint and then out to dinner with everyone but that fell through as the weather turned horrible.

Instead a few of us went out to dinner to a little place called the wine connection and then Rick decided that we were all going to play a giant game of ring of fire. There was about 12 of us and we used 2 decks of cards. Lets just say that it descended into nudity quite quickly and I have some shocking photos especially of Rick and another guy called Michael! NOT posting those so don't ask! I had to get to bed though as we got to 2 am and I was really tired. Got some booing from several people but we were supposed to be going diving and snorkelling tomorrow. Cannot see that happening since everyone is wasted but you never know! I got another offer to stay in Thailand today and do my Dive Master, once again I turned it down and this time I made sure I couldn't change my mind by booking my flights to Australia. Landing in Perth on the 24th *smile*

Woke up today (5th) and it was hammering down with rain. I guess the weather knew that everyone was going to be hungover! We once again wanted to go to the viewpoint but the weather was still looking rather horrible. Still Koko and I hired a moped and went anyway. Let me tell you something about Koko. She's Chinese but with a difference...she's a 6ft 2 volleyball player! So to say that she gets stared at quite a lot is an understatement. I thought it would be nice to let her drive even though I knew she'd never driven a moped before and holy hell it scared the bejesus out of me! I have never winced so much or closed my eyes hoping a journey would end so quickly. After we'd made it to the first of the viewpoints I had to ask her to let me drive. I felt bad but I was not prepared to get back on the back of that bike any time soon. Although, I did have trouble in the beginning because she's so tall, the two of us put a lot of weight on that bike so travelling slowly and starting off, there's A LOT of wobbling! The viewpoint would have been lovely if it hadn't have rained and it pummelled down and rain when you have no visor or jacket on the front of a moped...hurts! Getting back (we looked like we'd been swimming) we had a bit of a quieter night. Ordered food in the bar whilst playing Jenga with Michael and Lydia before watching a movie till almost 2 am with Rick and the staff.

Had to get to bed after that, bus journey to Penang tomorrow, collecting me at 8 am!
