We had the opportunity for a lay in this morning, with our first excursion starting at nine thirty. Personally I'd have skipped it. We took a drive up to Amalfi, on the coast, which was a beautiful town in a beautiful area. What a day. After an early start it was straight into the bus. We hit a bit of traffic so we were late arriving at Vesuvius. It was about twelve fifteen when we arrived. This morning we left the hotel for another optional excursion. We picked up our guide outside the Vatican. It's Sunday today and you should have seen the lines! They went all the way from the enhance to Saint Peters Square. I'm really glad we went yesterday. It only took us about ten minutes to get in, it's going to take them hours to get in. Had a chance for a sleep in this morning. Only woke up when the bell for the school that's right outside our window went off. Our shuttle should be picking us up at nine twenty so plenty of time for a laze. We waited down in the lobby for the shuttle to arrive.
