Hi, We are now in Wanaka on the West coast of NZ. It is a lovely town just on a lake and is really beautiful and large by NZ standards. We have been to see the Fox and Franz Josef Glacier which was really fun. At Franz Josef we did a glacier hike which was really cool. We got a jazzy outfit that consisted of overtrousers, massive jacket, a useless pair of gloves and some fat boots with ice talons. It was a little bit surreal to be climbing up a glacier but definitely a really worthwhile activity. The photos are really really cool too! The hike was about 2 hours long and was a bit scary at points but definitely well worth it. We are off to Queenstown tonight which is the centre of all adrenaline activities in NZ. We are definitely not bungey jumping but we'll go and watch! we are going white water rafting tomorrow and jet boating so that should be really fun.
