We had a long lie in & really enjoyed the peace & quiet that the jungle lodge gave us! Felt a bit isolated from reality but in a good way! We led by the pool for a few hours then decided to walk to the edge of the river where the three countries meet, the triple frontier... where Argentina, Brazil & Paraguay all join at the mouth of the river iguazu. Each country has a triangular statue painted in the National colours it was a 4km walk from the hotel & there was nothing there at all! We were pretty disappointed we walked through some sketchy areas to get there & all that we could see was the statues! We had a few beers in the centre of iguazu then walked back to the hotel! After freshening up we went to an ice bar near the hotel, we got an elected time for the visit & were given gloves & a winter jacket for entry! Drinks were included so we worked our way through the menu! We had a good laugh with the locals but it wasn’t anywhere near as good as the reviews had promoted!
