Yesterday we went to Toledo. We saw the catedral and it was sooooo big. I really loved it in Toledo, almost as much as Barcelona. It was an incredible experience even though we only got to stay there about 5 hours. I also got to see a huge painting done by El Greco. It was really cool looking, but I was unable to take any pictures of the painting, but I bought a book with the painting on it so I can show people. I really enjoyed Toledo and it was fun to shop around. We watched some men hand make these little dishes and then we were able to shop in their store of handmade items. I did alot of gift shoping yesterday and I am almost done with gifts for my family and matt!
I have been asked about classes 3 times now. I would not care to waste the time and money talking about soemthing as inexciting as class, but since you are curious. We have 2 classes, one by Francisco on the legends and tales of Segovia, and the other is taught by Jaime, his brother, and is on art. There are 3 days in which we take a class on the policial and educational systems in Spain. Its tough work because all 3 classes are in Spanish. I have lots of homework, 3 presentations and a project. Its a lot of work these classes, but I know it is good to get this education and experience. They are from 9Ñ30-1 m,t,th,f.....and can be alittle boring.
Home life is great. Piedad and I and marleen are all really close. Yesterday she bought us coca cola and chocolate croissants and nutella for us to snake on. She is so cute, and told us yesterday she is going to be sad when we leave because she wishes we could stay. Its really cute.....in this culture for her to offer that is a huge compliment I believe, since she is paying for all our food and giving us beds and utilities and everything we need. I am so glad she likes us, and our spanish has gotten up to par so that we may communicate effectively.
Until later, hasta luego!
