Yesterday we went to Madrid for the day. We left at 8:30 inthe morning, and didntget back until 7 that evening. The first place we visited was the Museo de Reina Sofia. Its a contemporary art museum. It was really cool. There was all this weird art with like lights and things, and art that moves and machinery and digital stuff. I decided then that one day I will have to take Matt there to show him all the digital art stuff. I bet he would really like it! ALso in this museum I saw an entire section on Picasso, and I got to see La Guernica (one of Picasso?s most famous) and also an entire section on Salvador Dali. That was pretty cool. Oh, and paintings by Joan Miro.

Next, we went to the Prado Museum!!!!! ahhh!!! So cool rooms and rooms of stuff by FFrancisco de la Goya. Also las Meninas. Its a really famous painting by Valazquez.  I loved that museum, there was so much cool stuff.  Unfortuneatly we only had an hour and a half to spend in there. 

Then we shopped at Corte Ingles for about 3 hours since during the entire month of july there are sales.   I didnt get anything though.   The american dollar is very weak, and things in euros are soooo expensive.  Its cheaper to just shop once I get to the states.    And i got really sick yesterday.  My host mother thought i had appendicitus.  but i am better now, and ready to come home!   less than 5 days!
