First day in Sweden we walked down by the water and over to the Vassa Museum. The Vassa was a massive ship that was built back in the 1628 and then only set sail for a few minutes before sinking!!
The amazing thing is though in the 1950s someone found the Vassa and arranged to have it brought back up to the surface! It was salvaged in 1961 after 333 years of being under the sea! Pretty awesome when you see how big it is!
I found it interesting that right outside the museum was a massive sign and a handful of people practicing Fa long gong !
After that we walked to the amusement park called Tivoli Grona Lund. We had a quick falafel for lunch and then went on some rides! The first one was called The Wild Mouse, kinda funny cause mouse in Swedish is a nickname for vagina! Haha!
We went on two other rollercoasters (the twister and kvasten ) and used our last coupons on the flying merry go round! Haha - it had great views over the harbor!
From there we took a boat across to the old town and walked up to a terrace bar with amazing views over Stockholm! We had a beer, and did some celeb watching- spotted the star from True Blood with another famous Swedish actor! exciting!!
We walked back through the old town (buildings from the 1200s!!) past the Royal Palace with its very young looking Royal Guards, and back to Stinas house for some shrimp and Aioli on toast! Yumm!!
