Yesterday we went on a boat out to the Great Barrier Reef, at the first stop I did some snorkeling, it was a bit scary at first but I soon got into it. Then my group got called up for Scuba diving, i got all the gear on and was about to get into the water when I chickened out! So I went snorkeling again! Then we went to another location and went on a glass bottomed boat and did yet more snorkelling, really enjoyed the day, there are so many beautiful fish...

Today I jumped out of a plane! Five of us went up,and it was a tandem jump from 14,000 feet... We flew up over Mission beach and Dunk Island, the view was fantastic as the weather was good for once so could see for miles. Today we went out for a days sailing on a yacht to White haven beach which is on the main Island in the Whitsunday Islands. Really enjoyed relaxing on the deck but had to keep reapplying the sun cream every hour as it was so hot! The beach was gorgeous, the sand is nearly pure silica and makes a funny squeaking noise when you walk on it. Well what a place to spend your birthday! Travelled to Fraser Island by ferry after picking up our 4 x 4's. Then we did a small hike in the morning through the rain forest followed by driving the main strip of beach up to Indian head, where we did a hike up the headland where you can see sting rays and sharks in the ocean below!
